Russian History - Alexander III Policy
The years of Alexander III, the son of Alexander II, reign were characterized by stability as well as reserved foreign and internal policy. The 1890s saw the rise of industrial production resulting in creation of modern heavy industry. Successful diplomatic solutions allowed to reinforce Russia’s role in Europe and Russian Far east. Alexander III was nicknamed “the Tsar-Peacemaker”.
