The Silk&Spices Festival will present the whole diversity of Uzbek craftsmanship: the famous Gijduvan ceramics, hand-made silk carpets, gold embroidery, jewelry and so on. The festival guests will also take part in a spice trade fair, watch a colorful procession of the participants along the historical monuments and Bukhara trade domes, taste different kinds of Uzbek pilaf, enjoy a spectacular show of national games and amusements. The festival program will also include performances of folk ensembles and fashion show by young Uzbek designers.
The XIII traditional Silk&Spices Festival will be taking place on 6-8 June 2014 in Bukhara, - reports Uzbektourism National Company press service. The festival will be attended by masters of folk arts and crafts from Uzbek centers such as Bukhara, Samarkand, Andijan, Khiva and Rishtan. In addition, the Silk&Spices Festival will demonstrate cultural traditions of guests from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
