The Marco Polo hotel was built in 1904 in the center of Moscow by English architect William Walcott for English experts. The Marco Polo has always been considered a hotel for the elite. After the reconstruction in 1999 the Marco Polo hotel was chosen by representatives of business circles. Then for the first time the lobby of the hotel became a place for holding art exhibitions of works by well-known and young artists.
