Two new metro stations opened in Baku

Baku metroOn 19 April the first two Baku metro stations in purple line were launched. They are Avtovokzal (Bus terminal) and Memar Ajemi -2. According to the plan, by 2030 the line will consist of 12 stations, one end will stretch up to the Garachukhur village, and the other to Babek Avenue. Both stations distinguish with creative design and outstanding architecture.

For the first time five level station started working in Baku. The main entrance to the Memar Ajemi-2 station is on the fifth floor. On the fourth floor passengers can change from the violet to the green line. On the green line the cross station is called Memar Ajemi-1. There are technical zones on the second and third floors. The first floor holds a platform consisting of two vestibules with 17 escalators leading to its center. The station is equipped with four lifts for people with disabilities.

Avtovokzal station that has been constructed since 2008 features 20 functioning escalators and eight travelators, as well as lift for people with disabilities. There are two pyramids with exits to the Balajara region and to the Baku International Bus Terminal. With an improved access to the Bus Terminal international travels became easier.
