Tour itinerary:
Your guide will meet you at your hotel in Shanghai and accompany you to the high-speed railway station. Board a high-speed train to Hangzhou (190 km, 45–90 min), a city known for its natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Upon arrival in Hangzhou, begin your tour with a visit to the UNESCO-listed West Lake Scenic Area. Enjoy a relaxing cruise on the lake, taking in its peaceful waters, willow-lined shores, and classical pavilions.
After the cruise, enjoy a lunch of local Hangzhou cuisine at a nearby restaurant.
Continue to the Liuhe Pagoda (Six Harmonies Pagoda), an impressive structure originally built in 970 AD during the Northern Song Dynasty. Admission to the site is included; tickets to climb the tower can be purchased on site if desired.
Next, visit the Meijiawu Tea Village, home to the renowned Hangzhou Longjing (Dragon Well) tea. Stroll through the lush tea fields and, if interested, stop by a local teahouse to sample or purchase fresh Longjing tea directly from the farmers.
Later, walk along Hefang Street, a charming pedestrian road lined with traditional shops, local snacks, and handicrafts.
In the late afternoon, return to the Hangzhou high-speed railway station for your journey back to Shanghai (190 km, 45–90 min). Upon arrival in Shanghai, transfer to your hotel/local residence.
