Kopitnari railway station, located 1.5 kilometers from Kutaisi International Airport, will start receiving regular passenger trains from April 30.
According to JSC "Georgian Railways", trains from different cities of Georgia will arrive at Kopitnari station.
Shuttle buses will operate between the railway station and the airport. The cost will be included in the price of the train ticket. Buses will run frequently and the estimated time to get to the destination is five minutes.
Five airlines from 14 countries fly to Kutaisi International Airport. In March 2022, the Airport received almost 47,000 passengers.
The Kopitnari railway station started operating in Georgia several decades ago. However, starting from 1991, the station served only freight trains. After the recent restoration, it is ready to receive passenger trains as well. Special attention was paid to making the station adaptable for people with disabilities.
Tickets will be on sale from 29 April 2022.
