Like the rest of Asian nations Turkmen drink a lot of tea. Green tea -gok chai - is drunk all the year round. Black tea - gara - which Turkmen drink mainly in autumn and in winter is more popular in the West. Black tea is brewed with camel milk on coals.
Every tea drinker has its own china teapot and cup. Turkmen wines have earned great popularity. The most popular are such brands as "Dashgala", dessert wine "Yasman Salyk", fortified wine "Kopet Dagh". Mineral water "Berzenghi" is also very popular.
