The press-service of the Georgian National Opera and Ballet Theater of Tbilisi named after Zakaria Paliashvili announced the launch of exciting excursion after long restoration works. The theater tour will be led by experienced guides on Thursdays and Saturdays in Georgian and English languages.
Organizers promise to show not only the building itself, but also lift the veil of the play creation mystery. Each guest will have an opportunity to visit repetitions of the troupe, see make-up rooms, orchestra pit, backstage, and feel the role of an opera or ballet hero.
The theatre will present several thematic tours along the magic world of the theatre backstage to the attention of the group consisting of 7 to 20 people. Connoisseurs of ballet are surely to like excursion entitled “Pointes” whereas “Primadonna” tour will attract opera fans and those who are interested in the work of orchestra and conducting may enjoy the tour “Overture” and “Maestro”. The first excursions will be held this Saturday, 2 April (at 12.00 in Georgian, and 13.00 in English).
It is to remind that Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre opened its doors after a six-year long restoration in January 2016. The legendary theatre was founded in 1851.
