As reported by tengrinews.kz the city of Akkol in Akmola region may receive the status of the youth resort town by 2017.
The Akimat (local authorities) of the Akkol city allocated the territory for the project of the resort town where construction of ecovillage has already started, as well as cleaning of two lakes. Next year tourists will enjoy the renewed infrastructure, boulevard and embankment designed by English and German architects.
The town will offer active youth such leisure and entertainment facilities as team-building, fishing, hiking. The resort will be interesting for the elderly generation also. The main emphasis is given to the eco-tourism.
By 2017 Akkol will become a resort town available for the guests of the international exhibition EXPO-2017. Local authorities of Akkol have already completed the construction of the stadium, sport grounds and other parts of the resort. Hotels, restaurants and other social facilities construction is in the process.
