As part of celebration of Bishkek City Day, Kyrgyzstan is hosting the First International Arts Festival “Stars of the Silk Road”. The organizers are the Lions-Clubs of Bishkek and Amorbach-Miltenberg, Bavaria.
From September 3 to 6, young musicians and photographers from Kyrgyzstan and Germany will organize demo lessons, master classes, concerts and photo sessions on the southern Issyk-Kul lakeside in the village of Kaji -Say.
The festival official opening will be held on September 9 at the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic named after T. Satylganov. The guests and participants of the festival will have a concert of the “Manas” President's Chamber Orchestra conducted by Ernis Asanaliev, an Honored Artist of the RK. The soloists to perform at the concert are laureates of international competitions from Kyrgyzstan and Germany.
Within two weeks or so, the festival plans several major classical concerts performed by RK leading orchestras: Bolshoi Symphony Orchestra of the RK, Bishkek Town Hall Brass Band etc, with participation of talented young musicians from Kyrgyzstan and Germany.
As part of the festival, Udo Herrmann will also give a master class at the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev. The festival will be closed on September 13 by a concert to be given by the Bishkek Town Hall Brass Band at the Kyrgyz National Conservatory Grand Hall.
