In the central part of Yaroslavl there stands the elegant five-domed Epiphany Church (17th century). It is built of red bricks, which is perfectly combined with green tiles. This combination gives the construction a festive air. The decoration of the Epiphany Church includes two rows of decorative kokoshniks and rich brick pattern. The prevailing colors gold, red and blue, which if properly illuminated make the temple seem even more beautiful and richer. The paintings covering the walls of the temple vary in plots; they depict in detail the events of the Gospel. The baroque late-17th-century iconostasis complements the temple’s decoration.
