The project was launched in 2013 in Petropavlovsk, followed by Kokshetau, Turkestan, Uralsk, Karaganda, Kostanai, Kyzylorda and Almaty that were equipped with free Internet in buses, trams, and trolley-buses.
One of the main benefits of the project is that Internet is accessible for all passengers regardless which mobile operator network they use. It is comfortable not only for residents of Kazakhstan, but also tourists, especially considering that a large flow is expected in Astana for Expo-2017.
In total, by the end of this year 100 buses in Astana will have been equipped with Wi-Fi. Next in line after the Kazakh capital are Pavlodar, Ust-Kamengorsk and other cities of Kazakhstan.
