Tour itinerary:
Our guide will meet you at your hotel around 08:00 (or at a time of your choice) and take you on a tour to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. On the way, you’ll stop at a jade carving workshop to learn about this traditional Chinese craft, with an opportunity to browse or shop if you wish.
Located about 75 km northeast of central Beijing in Huairou County, Mutianyu is one of the best-preserved sections of the Great Wall. Once an important northern defense for the capital and imperial tombs, it is now known for its peaceful setting, surrounded by forests and green hills that change colors with the seasons.
At Mutianyu, you can walk along the ancient wall at your own pace or take a cable car (optional) to reach the highest point for panoramic views of the landscape.
After visiting the Great Wall, enjoy a traditional Chinese lunch at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel around 16:00.
