Uzbekistan banned the transportation of liquids in hand luggage Effective from 1 February 2014, transportation of all kinds of liquids, aerosols and gels in hand luggage of airline passengers departing from Uzbek airports is prohibited, - reports the “Uzbekistan Airways” national airline press service. Now, they are only allowed to be transported in a passenger’s checked-in baggage.

Baby food and medicines, required to passengers during the flight on a permanent basis, are not banned, on condition that they are pre-packed in a transparent sealable plastic bag and no more than 1 liter. The air company says that each passenger is allowed to take on board one plastic bag with a mandatory inspection by special technical equipment for aviation safety.
