As per the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev of December 4 tourist visa facilities has been simplified, reports Gazeta.uz News Media.
According to the new rules, tourist visa for individual foreign citizens is issued for a period of 30 days. Earlier, travelers could obtain 7 or 15 day visas and might need to extend it when flights are delayed or they wish to change the tour itinerary.
The visa policy improvements have touched its cost too reducing it by one third - from 60 to 40 US dollars. In addition, group tourist visa has become more accessible. The group threshold has been dropped from 10 to 5 people.
