PAUL is a well-known chain of café-bakeries founded in 1889 in the city of Lille in northern France. Today the brand operates more than 700 locations worldwide, including across the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan and many other countries. In Uzbekistan, PAUL has been operating since 2019, offering the concept of a French bakery, coffee shop and full-service restaurant.
Over the years, it has become a popular place for breakfast, meetings and relaxed coffee breaks. In Tashkent, PAUL cafés are located on Amir Temur Avenue and in Tashkent City Mall (since 2024), and also operate in the H.A.V.O Gastro Park dining space (2025) and at the Amirsoy mountain resort (2026). The interiors of the different branches vary slightly, but all maintain the atmosphere of a European café.
Fresh pastries and bread prepared according to traditional French recipes lie at the heart of PAUL’s concept. The display counters feature croissants, baguettes, brioches, éclairs, tartlets and other desserts. At the same time, PAUL in Tashkent functions not only as a bakery but also as a full-service restaurant with a varied menu. In addition to pastries, guests can enjoy sandwiches, salads, cream soups, nourishing bowls, several types of pasta and other European dishes.
Coffee also plays an important role in the PAUL concept. The café serves both classic drinks - espresso, americano, cappuccino, latte, flat white and latte macchiato - as well as more unusual options. The menu also includes dessert-style coffee drinks with syrups, fruits and spices, such as Lavender Raf, Citrus Coffee, Dark Forest Coffee, Hazelnut Cream Coffee and Pumpkin Pie Latte.
There are also refreshing options such as iced latte, espresso tonic and frappé. In addition to coffee, the menu offers a wide selection of hot and cold beverages, including various types of tea, hot chocolate and lemonades.
PAUL aims to be more than just a restaurant – it also serves as a cultural space. The venue regularly hosts children’s cooking workshops, live music evenings and themed events. Special occasions such as holiday programmes or small theatrical performances are sometimes organised as well. As a result, PAUL remains a lively and atmospheric place where visitors come for delicious coffee and croissants as well as for an enjoyable time.
