Bridal Shower Traditions in Russia

One of the most popular wedding ceremonies is bridal shower. Traditionally, the day before the wedding the bride gathers her friends to spend their last evening of their free single life. In the old days, that day the bride had to go to bath with other women singing wedding songs and combing the bride’s hair. She was supposed to weep and wail saying goodbye to her free carefree days.
