The ninth traditional fair “Bazar-Art.2011” opened its doors in Tashkent. Bazar-Art project is organized by the Fund Forum and IJOD Association of Artists, Art Historians and Craftsmen. The main purpose of the project is to preserve the national heritage of Uzbekistan and support both mature artists and talented youth.
The Center of National Arts brought together dozens of Uzbekistan craftsmen. On the first day the noisy and colorful fair could hardly accept all fans of national color, residents and guests of the capital.
Uzbek ceramics, jewelry and accessories in national style, colorful carpets, embroidery and fabrics, embossing and carved articles and many others are presented to the court of visitors and jury, who would award the best artists at the end of the fair.
On this wonderful fair you have an opportunity not only to admire amazing handicrafts, but to purchase anything you like to decorate your house or as a gift to your nearest and dearest.
Within the Bazar-Art project, which will last until November 19, there will be a series of workshops of wood carving, embroidery and ceramics of the best Tashkent, Gijduvan, Bukhara and Shakhrisabz artists.
