The State Amir Timur Museum is being renovated, reports the uzreport.com news portal. The reconstruction will not only update the museum facade, but also its exposition.
The Amir Timur Museum is a repository of archaeological and ethnographic materials belonging to the Tamerlane epoch. It contains Amir Timur and his descendants’ diplomatic correspondence with European monarchs, skilled miniatures, samples of household items of that time, etc.
The museum renovation will be carried out in two stages. The first stage will be completed by this Independence Day of Uzbekistan, and the second - by next August.
