Introduced early this year the ban on transportation of liquids in hand luggage for passengers departing from Uzbek airports was removed from May 1, 2014, - reports national company Uzbekistan Airways press service.
Transportation of liquids, gels and aerosols in an aircraft cabin is now possible, subject to compliance with certain requirements. Thus liquids may be transported in containers in volume max. 100 ml, bulk containers will not be accepted, even if only partially filled. The container must be placed in a sealed transparent plastic bag of max. 1 l and produced at the checkpoint for a visual inspection for safety. The report emphasizes that each passenger is allowed to have only one such plastic bag.
