A New Arrivals Terminal for International Airlines Opened in TashkentOn June 15, 2018, a new arrivals terminal for international airlines opened at Tashkent’s Islam Karimov International Airport, reported the PR department of Uzbekistan Airways.

The new terminal can process 1,200 passengers an hour. There are passport control points, a visa office, baggage claim, red and green customs corridors, and a medical station. There are also accommodations for people with disabilities, plus ramps, escalators, wheelchairs and an elevator. Passengers can also use currency exchange stations, Wi Fi, two cafes and a Duty Free store.

The new terminal is built on the foundations of the old building for local airlines, which was built in 1997.
