Tour itinerary:
Today we start a four-day hike to Ushguli Village. Ushguli is the highest permanently settled village in Europe. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
At 09:00 meet your guide and driver. Our first destination today is the village Zhabeshi located on altitude of 1680 m. We will be walking in the remote and beautiful area: along the river, up to the hill and on the meadow. Today we hike 763 m up and 523 m down. Arrive in Zhabeshi. In the evening enjoy a traditional delicious Svanetian dinner. Overnight at the guesthouse.

We continue our hike towards village Adishi located on altitude of 2040 m, enjoying the beautiful nature of Svaneti along the way. We will walk uphill 909 m and downhill 527 m. Our trail passes through beautiful forest, meadows, and trails. Arrive in Adishi. After some rest enjoy local dinner at the guesthouse.

After breakfast we start walking towards another beautiful village Iprali, located on altitude of 1800 m. Today you will have the longest walking day: 18 km with the altitude change of 860 m uphill and 1070 m downhill. During the hike we need to cross the river on a horseback. You will enjoy the beautiful views to Caucasus range from the Chkunderi pass (2655 m). Arrive in Iprali. Dinner and overnight at the guesthouse.

Today we will reach our destination – village Ushguli, located at the altitude of 2200 m. The walking distance is 12 km with 677 m uphill and 436 m downhill. Arrive in Ushguli. In the evening enjoy dinner with local food, that is rich in flavour. Overnight at the guesthouse.

In the morning start an easy round-trip hike towards Shkhara Glacier. Shkhara is the highest peak in Georgia – 5193 m. On the way we can visit Lamaria Church complex with impressive wall frescos (12th century). Locals believe that Queen Tamara was buried right under this church. Enjoy picturesque view of the Mount Shkhara. Start walking along Enguri river towards the glacier. The walking time is approximately 6-7 hours.
After we finish our hike, we will drive back to Mestia and drop you off at your guesthouse/hotel. End of 5-day Svaneti Hiking Tour.
