Tour itinerary:

Day 1: Tbilisi – Oni – Oni Synagogue – Utsera Mineral Waters – Oni (overnight) (260 km, around 4 h. 30 min. drive) overnight at Manino Utsera

At 09:00 am meet your guide and driver and head to Racha, a mountain paradise on the slopes of the Greater Caucasus. Our first stop will be in Oni, a once famous centre of Jewish culture. Nowadays, the town still has a small number of Jewish families. We will see from the outside the Oni synagogue, which was built in 1895 in an eclectic style. Continue to Utsera Resort. Many visitors are drawn to the resort by its stunning natural surroundings, including its forests, alpine meadows, and breathtaking vistas of the snow-capped mountains. After stopping to taste Utsera mineral waters known for its healing powers, we will continue to Manino Utsera Hotel for relaxing evening and overnight.
Day 2: Oni – Barakoni – Sairme Pillars (hike) – Lechkhumi (80 km, 2-hour drive), Lunch at Korenishuli

After breakfast we will say goodbye to the lovely Manino Utsera Hotel and head to Lechkhumi region, the lesser-known gem of Georgia. On the way stop at Barakoni church overlooking the Rioni river. Barakoni is one of the last significant structures built in the style of medieval Georgian architecture, a cruciform church with a dome. Stable stand stones adorned with beautiful ornaments were used in the construction of Barakoni. Continue to Saime Pillars, another wonder of the nature. Over thousands of years, natural processes resulted in the formation of pillars. The route of our moderately difficult 3-km mostly uphill hike is well-marked and will guide us to the pillars. It takes about two to three hours to get to the top to enjoy the breathtaking views of the pillars and then make our way back to the main road. The Korenishuli Veranda in the tiny settlement of Korenishuli is the final stop for the day. Located at bucolic setting, Krenishuli Veranda combines a hotel and a winery. Enjoy homemade meals while appreciating the stunning mountain vineyard views. We will stay at this bucolic place for two nights.
Day 3: Korenishuli Veranda – Khvamli Mountain – Lunch at Kulbaki Green Lake – Rachkha Waterfall – Korenishuli Veranda (4-hour drive)

After breakfast we will head to Kvamli mountain, a mysterious historic place in Georgia, standing at 2,002 meters from sea level. According to one legend, Prometheus who stole the fire from the Gods was chained on Khvamli mountain by the order of Zeus and eagle was eating his eternally renewable liver. We will reach St. George's Church on top of the mountain and enjoy breathtaking views. After seeing this mystic place, we will proceed to Kulbaki Green Lake. The line of cars traveling in this direction will be the first thing to catch your eye. Despite the off-road which is difficult to drive, many locals love this place, so you can be confident that something spectacular is waiting for you at Kulbaki. Indeed, while taking in the scenery and tranquility of Green Lake, you may sample some of the region's most tasty fish here. After lunch we will see one other natural wonder of Lechkhumi – Rachkha Waterfall, cascading down onto the moss-covered stones of the gorge. Return to Korenishuli Veranda for overnight.
Day 4: Korenishuli Veranda – 2-hour rafting on Rioni – Aleko Sardanashvili lunch – Ambrolauri (60 km, 2-hour drive)

After breakfast we will check out from the hotel and head to Rioni river. We have reserved this day for adventure and unforgettable moments. Experienced rafting team will conduct us the safety training and we will then be equipped with the life jacket, helmet, hydro clothing, and appropriate footwear. After training we will start rafting near Rioni Gorge. As we descend, we will see the conjunction of two rivers Rioni and Lajanuri, both of a distinct color. A truly breathtaking view to look at! During our 2-hour long rafting we will pass beautiful waterfalls, canyons, stunning rocky formations, and exciting wildlife. A delicious reward awaits us after rafting at Aleko Sardanashvili’s wine cellar: we will be served a home-made lunch accompanied by wine produced in Aleko’s cellar. Overnight in Ambrolauri.
Day 5: Ambrolauri – Nikortsminda – Shaori Lake – Tskhrajvari – Tbilisi (280 km, 5-hour drive)

After breakfast we will check out from the hotel and say goodbye to the region of Racha-Lechkhumi and hit the road to Tbilisi. We will stop briefly at Nikortsminda church to admire the colorful frescoes inside the cathedral which date to the 17th century. Our next destination is Shaori Lake, where we will have a photo stop. The crystal-clear water and beautiful forest around will make you feel part of untouched nature. The last stop for today is Tskhrajvari ("nine crosses"). The crosses are arranged on numerous high summits that look over a wide horizon. In one of the many legends associated with this location, a parent who sent nine children out to battle prayed to God and pledged to build nine crosses on the mountain in exchange for their safe return. All nine of them made it safely home after the war. Continue to Tbilisi. Drop off at the hotel. End of Tour to Racha & Lechkhumi from Tbilisi.
