Expand your experience of China with our 3-Day Essence of Huangshan Tour. On this short journey, you will see the famous Yellow Mountains, celebrated for their “Four Wonders”: imaginatively named pines, unusually shaped rocks, seas of clouds, and natural hot springs.
The tour itinerary is designed to cover all the main highlights. On the first day, you will visit Hongcun Village, renowned for its well-preserved historic architecture. Many Chinese historical films have been shot along its colourful streets. You will then return to Huangshan City to explore the lively streets of the Tunxi District. The following day is devoted to exploring the Huangshan Mountains themselves. In the evening, you can enjoy views of the sunset from the high peaks. On the final day, an early start is recommended so you do not miss the sunrise as it appears above the sea of clouds.

Tour itinerary:
Arrive in Huangshan. Upon arrival, our guide and car will pick us up and transfer us to Hongcun Village (75 km, 1.5 hours), which is recognised as one of China’s Historical and Cultural Villages, known for its scenic views and distinctive Hui-style architecture. Later, we drive back to Tunxi District (75 km, 1.5 hours) and visit Tunxi Old Street in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.
Duration of sightseeing tour: 5–6 hours
Today we drive to the famous Yellow Mountains (110 km, 2 hours) and take a cable car up the slopes. A popular saying goes: “You won’t want to see any other mountains after visiting the Yellow Mountains”. The area is known for four signature features – oddly shaped pines, dramatic rock formations, seas of clouds, and hot springs. Its stunning scenery has long inspired painters and photographers.
We take a short hiking tour on the mountain, enjoying the Sea of Clouds and the beautiful sunset. Stay overnight at the top of the mountain. Overnight at the hotel.
Duration of sightseeing tour: 7–8 hours
If you are interested, just get up early - you may have the chance to enjoy a fantastic sunrise amidst a sea of clouds from the summits.
