Tour itinerary:
Arrive in Guilin, a small city known for its outstanding natural scenery in southern China. Upon arrival, the guide and driver will pick us up and drive to visit Reed Flute Cave. Inside this water-eroded cave is a remarkable world of stalactites, stone pillars, and rock formations created by carbonate deposition. Walking among the dense stone pillars, visitors can admire the constantly changing shapes and colours, creating the impression of a natural underground landscape.
After that, we drive to Elephant Trunk Hill, a rock formation shaped like an elephant’s trunk extending into the river, as if the elephant were drinking water.
Duration of sightseeing tour: 5–6 hours
Today we drive to Longsheng (120 km, 2 hours) to visit the terraced fields. You will be impressed by the magnificent rice terraces cascading down the hillsides and surrounding minority villages. In the afternoon, we visit Yao and Zhuang minority villages, where you can observe everyday rural life – local people working in the fields, women doing needlework under the eaves, and children running and playing nearby. A Long Hair Show of the Yao minority will be arranged.
In the late afternoon, we start the drive back to Guilin (120 km, 2 hours).
Duration of sightseeing tour: 8–9 hours
Today we first take a Li River cruise to Yangshuo (80 km, 4–5 hours). Meandering through valleys, bamboo groves, and dramatic karst rock formations, the cruise affords a glimpse of a way of life far removed from the concrete jungle. Later, we take time to stroll along West Street, the most lively and well-known street in Yangshuo County. There is also an option to attend the famous Impression show, staged on the Li River.
