The 5-day Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang Discovery Tour stands out among China tours for its combination of spectacular natural landscapes, well-preserved historic towns, dramatic mountain scenery, engineering marvels, and rich cultural heritage. Moving through Hunan Province, the journey brings these experiences together in a single itinerary.
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park needs little introduction – its towering sandstone pillars famously inspired the floating mountains in Avatar. The park delivers at every turn: the Bailong Elevator, panoramic views from Tianzi Mountain, the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, and Tianmen Mountain, home to the iconic Heaven's Gate and one of the world's longest cable car rides.
Fenghuang Ancient Town brings the journey to a quieter close. A beautifully preserved riverside settlement of traditional wooden stilt houses and cobbled streets, it remains a living reflection of the Miao and Tujia ethnic cultures that have shaped this corner of Hunan for generations.
Extraordinary landscapes, authentic cultural encounters, and a pace that never feels forced – the 5-day Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang Discovery Tour is a strong choice for travelers who want more than the usual China highlights.
