Tour itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Astana

Arrival at Astana International Airport. You will be met by our guide and driver and begin your tour of Kazakhstan’s capital without delay. The first stop is the National Museum, the largest in the country, featuring 10 halls that cover history from ancient times to the present day. Next, visit the main attractions on today’s program: the Hazret Sultan Mosque, the second largest in Central Asia; the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, built in the shape of a pyramid; and the Baiterek Monument, Kazakhstan’s main symbol, standing 97 meters tall.
After the tour, head to the striking Khan Shatyr shopping and entertainment center, which blends futuristic architecture with traditional Oriental elements.
Check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Astana – Burabay National Park

In the morning, after breakfast, you will depart from Astana for Burabay National Park (270 km, approx. 4 hours). Burabay (also known as Borovoe) is a picturesque natural monument in northern Kazakhstan, renowned for its lakes, towering granite formations, and coniferous forests. Shortly before reaching Borovoe, you’ll stop for lunch in the town of Shchuchinsk at a café overlooking the lake.
After lunch, enjoy a walk along the winter shore of Lake Shchuchye – crisp air, frozen waters, and pine trees all around. Continue with a walk through the Ablai Khan glade, where a striking granite throne is located. Nearby, visit a multimedia interactive complex that presents the history and culture of Kazakhstan.
The tour continues with a 30-minute walk to the lake, where the mysterious Zhumbaktas rock - also called the “Mysterious Stone” - rises from the ice. Depending on your viewing angle, it may resemble a girl, an old woman, or a sphinx. Your guide will share the local legends associated with this unique formation.
To conclude the tour, enjoy a 10-minute snowmobile ride across the ice of Lake Burabay*, offering a fresh perspective on Zhumbaktas and the surrounding snow-covered landscapes. Transfer to your hotel in Burabay. Overnight at the hotel.
Meals: breakfast, lunch
* Important: Snowmobile rides take place in safe, designated areas. All participants are required to sign a waiver acknowledging full responsibility for their participation in this activity.
Day 3: Burabay National Park – Astana

After breakfast at 10:00, you will continue exploring Burabay Park. A short drive will take you to the Aq Maral deer farm, home to around 200 marals (noble deer). Here, you’ll observe how the animals live and are cared for, and learn about “pantotherapy” – the traditional medicinal use of deer antlers. You will also have the chance to feed the deer and purchase medicinal extracts derived from their antlers.
Next on the itinerary is the active part of the day: a 3-kilometer hike along a scenic trail through a pine forest leading to the top of Mount Bolektau. The path is steep in some sections and the climb takes about 45 minutes, but you’ll be rewarded with the best panoramic view of Burabay Park. After a rest and photo break, you’ll descend via the same route and take a short drive to a local restaurant for lunch. Following lunch, your outdoor experience continues with a 45-minute horseback ride through the forest near the town of Shchuchinsk. The trail is flat and comfortable, and the well-trained horses make the ride suitable even for beginners. Enjoy the peaceful journey through the quiet, snow-covered forest and breathe in the crisp winter air. An instructor will accompany you to ensure safety throughout the ride.
After this nature-filled day in Burabay Park, return to Astana (270 km, approx. 4 hours). Check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Meals: breakfast, lunch
* The trail is typically covered in snow. Sturdy, non-slip footwear is strongly recommended.
