An intense five-day cultural train tour Uz-5 will introduce you to the most interesting sights of Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand. Tashkent you will remember as a modern capital, not devoid of eastern charm. Samarkand, city of the same age as Rome and Babylon, will introduce you to the unique monuments of medieval architecture. The last but not the least, in Bukhara you will feel yourself like in an eastern fairy tale which you won’t want to leave.

Tour itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Tashkent – Bukhara
 
Arrive in Tashkent. You will be met by Advantour driver and transferred to Advantour office to settle formalities.
Meet your guide to start sightseeing in the capital of Uzbekistan, the biggest city in Central Asia. Visit Old City part of Tashkent with Khast-Imom Complex where the world famous Quran of Caliph Uthman – Ottoman has been preserved. In Khast-Imom visit Madrasah of Barak-Khan, Tilla Sheikh Mosque, Mausoleum of the Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi and the Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari. Explore Chor-Su Bazaar. Then take a ride on Tashkent Metro to city center with Amir Timur Square, Independence Square and Applied Arts Museum.
At 20:30 transfer to train station. Take the night train departing to Bukhara at 22:00 (605 km). Arrival on the next day at 07:00. Overnight in the train.
Duration of sightseeing tour: 4-5 hours
Day 2: Bukhara
 
Arrival in Bukhara at 07:00. Transfer to hotel for breakfast and leave luggage at the reception. Check in hotel at 14:00. After breakfast take a walking sightseeing tour with a guide in historic center of Bukhara which has been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Visit Lyabi Khauz Ensemble, Magoki-Attori Mosque, Chor-Minor Madrasah, trade domes, Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan madrasahs, Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque and Miri-Arab Madrasah, legendary Ark Fortress, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, Ismail Samani and Chashma-Ayub mausoleums. Enjoy free time in Old City. Overnight at the hotel.
Duration of sightseeing tour: 6-7 hours
Day 3: Bukhara – Samarkand
 
At 06:40 transfer from hotel to train station. Take “Sharq” train to Samarkand departing at 08:05, arriving at 11:10 (270 km). Upon arrival you will be met by your guide and driver to start city tour.
Visit spectacular Registan Square, remains of Bibi-Khahum Mosque, Siab Bazaar and Gur-Emir Mausoleum – authentic shrine of Tamerlane. Overnight at the hotel.
Duration of sightseeing tour: 5-6 hours
Day 4: Samarkand – Tashkent
 
Check out from the hotel till noon. Continue sightseeing: visit Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis, Ulugbek Observatory and Tomb of Saint Daniel. Then drive to Konigil village to explore traditional way of making Samarkand paper from mulberry. Enjoy free time with car and driver at your disposal after sightseeing tour. At 16:00 transfer to railway station to take the fast-speed Afrosiyob train departing to Tashkent at 17:00 (300 km). Scheduled arrival time is 19:10. Pick-up and transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Tashkent – departure
 
Check-out from the hotel at noon. Free time until transfer to Tashkent International Airport. Departure. End of the tour.
