Our horse tour will open for you the world of picturesque mountain passes and gorges of Chon-Kemin and Kalmak-Ashuu. Take this unforgettable 6-day tour where you will see not only main sights of Kyrgyzstan, but also indulge into the beauty of the nature the country offers.

Pre-requisites: you are expected to be capable of mounting and dismounting unassisted, comfortable and in control at a walk with the saddle, trotting on the flat ground.
Recommended list of personal items: warm clothes, a coat, tracking-boots, sleeping bag, rucksack, flash light, hat, your own First Aid Kit, sunscreen and sunglasses.

Tour itinerary:

Day 1: Bishkek
 
Arrival to Bishkek, transfer to the hotel. After some rest Sightseeing tour: Oak Park, Ala -Too Square, Philarmonic hall, Statue of Manas, Victory Square and Oriental market – Osh bazaar. After lunch transfer to the Ala-Archa National Park (40 km). You will be in the alpine gorge through which the fast flowing Ala-Archa River runs, flanked by tall, snow-covered, peaks with steep-sided, forested, mountain slopes. Hiking in the gorge. Return back to the alpine camp. Transfer to Bishkek. Overnight at the hotel.
Meals: Breakfast
Day 2: Bishkek – Chon Kemin
 
At 09:00 transfer to Chon-Kemin village (150 km). On the way visit Burana tower at the place of the ancient city Balasagyn (XI - XIII). Continue driving to Chon-Kemin. Lunch with Kyrgyz Family.
Dinner and accommodation in the guest house.
Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Day 3: Chon-Kemin – Kalmakashu Gorge
 
After breakfast transfer to start point the horse riding. Meeting with horseman. The horse riding takes you in Kalmakashu Gorge (4-5 hours). Picnic for lunch. The Gorge is surprisingly rich in flora. Here you can see a unique spectacle – meadows, full of flowers. Stay overnight in the tents (altitude -2500 m above sea level).

Day 4: Kalmakashu Pass – Balykchy – Cholpon-Ata
 
After breakfast continue the horse riding. It looks like a sapphire set amongst a vast array of silver, snow-covered mountains. Further on, the route leads to the foot of the Kalmakashu Pass (3530 m.). Cross the Kalmakashu Pass. Picnic for lunch. After continue horse riding to Balykchy. Meeting with driver and transfer to Cholpon-Ata. Overnight at the hotel or Guest House.

Day 5: Cholpon-Ata – Bishkek
 
After breakfast transfer visit an open air museum of petroglyphs in Cholpon-Ata. There will be an excursion in open-air art gallery of stone, said to date from 500 BC – 100 AD, they depict wolves, long-horned ibex, goats, horses, snow leopards, sacrifices and some hunting scenes.
Transfer to Bishkek (260 km). Overnight at the hotel or Guest House. Farewell dinner.

Day 6: Bishkek – airport
 
Transfer to the airport. Fly home.

  • Meals – groups 1-4 people - as per program; groups 5-10 people – full board;
  • Transportation through out the whole trip;
  • English Speaking Guide;
  • Sightseeing tour program in all cities according to the program, including entrance fees to sights, museums, Karakol National Park. Camera/video fees are not included and paid separately;
