The tour is offered from end of April until mid October.
Conquering peaks is a metaphor for success, whether in business, personal growth, or even literally climbing a mountain. Tackling a real mountain allows you to see the tangible results of your efforts. Successful individuals know that you don’t start with Everest - you begin with smaller challenges. Our one-day tour to climb Small Chimgan offers just that: a chance to experience the rigors of a climb and the beauty of a bird’s-eye view from the summit. This tour is accessible to anyone in good physical condition and doesn’t require any special preparation. Departing from Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, in the morning, you'll find yourself admiring Charvak Reservoir from great heights by midday and spotting countless other peaks waiting to be conquered. By evening, you’ll return to the city, energized and ready for your next adventure.Tour Itinerary
9:00 - 11:00: Meet your driver and mountain guide at the hotel and depart from the bustling capital towards the Chimgan Mountains. After an hour on the highway, you'll transition onto a winding mountain road, quickly climbing to 1,550 meters above sea level.
11:00 - 12:00: Upon arrival at the base of Small Chimgan Mountain, your guide will provide a quick safety briefing. After confirming you have all the necessary gear, the ascent begins. The initial part of the trek is a gentle climb through a wide meadow before the path turns left, leading into a more challenging climb through dense thickets. Though strenuous, in about 30 minutes, you'll reach Pesochny Pass (1,832 meters), the saddle connecting Small and Greater Chimgan.
12:00 - 13:00: After a brief rest at the pass, you'll tackle the rocky slope of Small Chimgan. This stretch demands the most effort, with no shade from the sun and a growing thirst—but keep hydrated with small sips. Soon enough, you'll reach the ridge, and the final 700 meters to the peak at 2,099 meters will be a much easier walk. Your reward is a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.
13:00 - 14:00: Enjoy lunch at the summit and take photos with the stunning backdrop of Lake Charvak and Greater Chimgan Mountain.
14:00 - 16:00: Begin your descent at a comfortable pace. Be cautious, as descending too quickly can increase the risk of knee injuries.
16:00 - 18:00: Return to the car for your transfer back to Tashkent, concluding your climb of Small Chimgan.
