You will go sightseeing around Alexandrov. See such landmarks as: the Alexandrova Sloboda, medieval commercial market place, the St Seraphim of Sarov Church, fragments of the old city, the Nativity Cathedral and the Tsar hill.
In 1513, a country-palace for Grand Duke Basil the III was constructed in Alxandrova Sloboda by Italian and Russian builders. Some parts of the ancient Church-Palace complex, such as: the Trinity Cathedral, the Pakrovskaya Church, the Crucifixion Church and the Uspensky Cathedral, are still preserved.
The Pokrovskaya Church (16th – 17th centuries) is one of the rare memorials amongst finest examples of Russian medieval architecture which has a unique fresco painting which was ordered by Ivan the Terrible, himself. The first Russian Tsar, (a Slavic transliteration from the word “Ceasar”), Ivan the Terrible, spent a lot of his time in this church.
Visit the Alexandrov Arts Museum which is situated in what was once a merchant’s mansion, a unique architectural memorial of Neoclassicism. You will see an exposition which reconstructs Russian family life of the 19th century. There is a park near the mansion.
Visit the Stone Museum, where one can see an exposition of semiprecious stones, synthetic crystals and articles manufactured from them. One has the opportunity to purchase some costume jewelry and souvenirs made with semiprecious stones.
Transfer to Pokrov. You will visit the Uyezd Court Museum. Visit the Vladimirka Inn of 19th century.

Sightseeing around the Presentation of Mary Cloister, located on an island in the middle of Vyatskoye Lake. There will be an opportunity to taste “salubrious holy water” from a local spring.
