Tour itinerary:

Day 1: Tbilisi – Khareba Winery – Nekresi – Begaso Family Winery
 
At 09:00, meet your guide and driver to start the sightseeing tour to Kakheti, the cradle of Georgian wine. After 2 hours’ drive, our first stop will be at the unique wine cellar Khareba, located in the tunnel carved out of the rock. Originally built for military purposes, today the tunnel is used to store Khareba’s finest wines. Wine tour and wine tasting. Continue your tour to Nekresi Monastery. This complex was founded in the 6th Century CE and since then has been the religious center of the region. Drive to Begaso Family Winery & Guesthouse, located in the village Sabue. It is surrounded by vineyards and mountain ranges which create a calming atmosphere. During your stay at Begaso Family Winery and guesthouse, you will learn about traditional winemaking methods. Enjoy the local wines and Georgian cuisine, which is handmade by the hosts with fresh organic products.
Day 2: Begaso – Gremi – Vardisubani – Tbilisi
 
After breakfast, drive to Gremi Architectural Complex, a 16th- century royal residence and the capital of Kakheti Kingdom. Gloomy Gremi Castle is now one of the most-visited tourist sites in Georgia. Next, visit the family in Vardisubani village, which makes qvevri, Georgian clay vessels for keeping wine at. After the workshop and wine tasting, drive to Tbilisi. Drop off at your hotel/place.
