To mark the 50th anniversary of the Victory the temple of Saint George the Victorious on Poklonnaya Hill was installed. It is reminiscent of the main commander of the Second World Georgy Zhukov, whose heavenly patron was St. George. The temple was consecrated on May 9, 1995.
