3-day Tbilisi and Kazbegi Tour3 Days | Tbilisi, Jvari, Ananuri, Kazbegi

Arrival in Tbilisi. You will be met by our driver and transferred to the hotel. Check-in at 2 p.m. You will start your journey in Georgia with a Tbilisi city tour at Metekhi church and the monument to Vakhtang Gorgasali, the legendary founder of Tbilisi. Take the cable car to Narikala Fortress to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view of the city. Walk down to the district of Sulphur bath houses passing by the only mosque in Tbilisi. Stroll through the Sharden area full of narrow streets with cozy cafés, wine-tasting bars, souvenir shops, and breath in the living past. Visit Sioni Cathedral, Anchiskhati Basilica, and the clock tower of the famous Rezo Gabriadze Theatre. Cross the Bridge of Peace to Rike Park. In the evening, visit a local restaurant to taste dishes of traditional Georgian cuisine. Overnight at the hotel.

At 08:30, our driver and guide will pick you up at your hotel in Tbilisi. The tour begins with a visit to Jvari Monastery (6 -7th centuries), the most important religious center and an architectural masterpiece of the early medieval period. Continue driving to Ananuri complex, a former residence of Argveti Dukes. The 16 – 17th centuries complex consists of churches and towers. The awe-inspiring location opens the beautiful landscapes of Jinvali reservoir. The next stop will be at the conjunction of two small mountain rivers famous for keeping colors unfused after merging. Drive over the Cross pass and a short stop at Soviet time “People’s Friendship” mountain viewpoint overlooking a deep gorge in the Caucasus mountain range. In Kazbegi, we will reach Gergeti Holy Trinity Church located at an altitude of 2170 m, and enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Kazbegi. Drive back to Tbilisi for overnight.
