Fergana Valley 2-day tour is a journey into the heart of the craft traditions and cultural heritage of eastern Uzbekistan. The program covers the region’s main cities, blending history, artistry, and a vibrant atmosphere.
On the first day, you will explore the historic monuments of Kokand and visit the renowned pottery workshops of Rishtan, before enjoying dinner with a local Uzbek family in the evening. The second day offers an introduction to silk production at the factory, a stroll through the bustling bazaar in Margilan, and a visit to the city park in Fergana.

Tour itinerary:
Early morning transfer to Tashkent railway station. Departure of the train to Kokand at 08:05 (alternative private transport is also available). Arrival in Kokand at 12:16, meeting with the guide and driver to start the active part of the tour in the Fergana Valley. You will visit the main historical and cultural sights of Kokand: the palace of Khudoyar Khan and the Jami Mosque. You will also visit the museum of Hamza, a famous poet and playwright, whose full name is Hamza Hakimzade Niyazi.
Next, you will take a short drive to the town of Rishtan (40 km, 1 hour), famous for its magnificent ceramics. You will visit the home and workshop of Rustam Usmanov, a master potter whose works have been exhibited at international exhibitions. You will observe the process of pottery making and admire a beautiful collection of traditional Rishtan ceramics with intricate patterns and blue-green glaze. In the evening, transfer to Fergana (50 km, 1 hour). Upon arrival in Fergana, you will have dinner with a local family, where you will try homemade traditional Uzbek dishes, learn about the culture and way of life of the Uzbek people, and learn about family traditions. During dinner, you will be able to taste dishes such as pilaf, kazan kabob, as well as try authentic tandoor flatbread, local fruits, and sweets. After dinner, transfer to the hotel. Check-in. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide and driver and depart for Margilan (15 km, 30 minutes) to visit the Silk Factory. Here, you will observe the entire process of producing silk fabrics with traditional ikat patterns – from collecting silkworm cocoons to hand dyeing and weaving the fabric on a loom.
After the silk factory, take a stroll through a vibrant oriental bazaar. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Tashkent departing at 13:00. Arrival at 14:00. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.

I travelled to Uzbekistan in April 2026, a destination I have had high up on my bucket list for ages! The golden towns of the ancient silks road - Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand. Think- walls of cobalt blue tiles, silk scarves as light as a feather, and rich woven carpets! I was keen to travel with a local company to keep my tourist dollars within the country, and by far the best travel agency was Advantour. They had the greatest range of tours, from one day, to several weeks. I was aldo keen to get to the Aral Sea and Fergana Valley, and this was no problem. Marat at Advantour wove it into my set tour! He was amazing at keeping me informed of my drivers, departure times,etc.
Guides were exceptional! But a special mention and thanks to Musa, my Aral Sea guide, and Tatyana and Dymitr in Tashkent.
I really recommend Uzbekistan, it's cheap, the Uzbeks are so friendly, and it's absolutely safe! I have no hesitation in recommending Advantour. They were superb!

We are a family of five, my husband and I plus three 20-somethings daughters and one fiancée. Each one of us had different interests, but all are avid followers of crafts, especially ceramics and fabric. We really liked our visit to the Yodgorlik silk factory, very interesting. And the other things, like the pottery workshop, wood carving, and especially the house of Bakhrom-aka (wool carpets) was very exceptional to see! He was very kind and his family gave us the warmest welcome.
