During this eight-day Uzbekistan-Georgia Tour, guests will experience the living history, natural beauty, and modern emergence of the nations of Uzbekistan and Georgia. Uzbekistan awes with the ancient madrasahs and bustling bazaars in Tashkent, Bukhara, and Samarkand. After Tbilisi’s cathedrals and fortresses, the captivating postcard views of Kazbegi, Ananuri, and Mtskheta provide an equally beautiful natural contrast.
Make sure you have enough storage in your camera for photos for beautiful views of Uzbekistan and Georgia.

Tour itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Tashkent – Bukhara
 
Arrive in Tashkent. You will be met by your driver and guide to start sightseeing in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan and, biggest city in Central Asia. The tour begins with a visit to the Old City secton of Tashkent including the Khast-Imom Complex where the world-famous Quran of Caliph Uthman has been preserved. In Khast-Imom, you will also visit the Madrasah of Barak-Khan, Tilla Sheikh Mosque, the Mausoleum of the Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi, and the Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari. You will have some time to explore the expansive Chor-Su Bazaar before. Then take a ride on Tashkent Metro to the city center to visit Applied Arts Museum and walk through Navoi Theater to Amir Timur Square where you will end Tashkent city tour. Evening flight to Bukhara, (605 km, 1 h. 45 min.). On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Bukhara
 
The day begins with a walking tour with your guide to the historic center of Bukhara which has been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Your will visit the Lyabi Hauz Ensemble, Magoki-Attori Mosque, Chor-Minor Madrasah and various trade domes. The journey continues with the stops at the, Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan Madrasahs, Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque and Miri-Arab Madrasah, legendary Ark Fortress, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, and Ismail Samani and Chashma-Ayub Mausoleums. Enjoy free time in the Old City. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Bukhara – Samarkand
 
Continue sightseeing tour with your guide. First on the agenda is a drive from the city to Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa – the summer residence of Bukhara’s last emir – and visit the Mausoleum of Bakhoutdin Naqshbandi. In the afternoon, the group will depart to Samarkand (280 km 4 h) stopping at Caravanserai Rabat Malik on the way to see the ruins which date back to 11th century. Arrive in Samarkand late in the afternoon; check in to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Samarkand – Tashkent
 
Meet your guide and driver in the hotel lobby and start sightseeing. You will visit the spectacular Registan Square, the ruins of Bibi Khanum Mosque, and Siab Bazaar. The Ulugbek Observatory will follow, along with the Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis and Gur Emir Mausoleum – the mausoleum of the famous Amir Timur. At 16:00, transfer to the railway station to take the high-speed Afrosiyob train departing to Tashkent at 17:00 (300 km). Scheduled arrival time is 19:10. Pick-up and transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Tashkent – Tbilisi
 
In the morning transfer to Tashkent International airport. Departure to Tbilisi (2030 km, 3 h 20 min). Arrival in Tbilisi. You will be met by our driver and transferred to the hotel. Check-in at 2 p.m.
You will start your journey in Georgia with Tbilisi city tour at Metekhi church and the monument to Vakhtang Gorgasali, the legendary founder of Tbilisi. Take a cable car to Narikala Fortress to enjoy breathtaking panoramic view of the city. Walk down to the district of Sulphur bath houses passing by the only mosque in Tbilisi. Stroll through the Sharden area full of narrow streets with cozy cafés, wine tasting bars, souvenir shops, and breathe in the living past. Visit Sioni Cathedral, Anchiskhati Basilica, and the clock tower of famous Rezo Gabriadze Theatre. Cross the Bridge of Peace to Rike Park. An excellent round-up to the city tour will be a visit the National Museum of Georgia. The museum holds a golden collection of valuable findings that belong to different periods and epochs presented in the consequence from the Bronze Age (3500-1200 B.C.) up to the 20th century.
In the evening, visit a local restaurant to taste dishes of traditional Georgian cuisine. Overnight at the hotel.
Duration of sightseeing tour: 5-6 hours
Day 6: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Ananuri – Kazbegi
 
After breakfast, drive to Mtskheta, one of the oldest towns and the cultural and religious center of Georgia. Mtskheta was the capital of the Eastern Georgian Kingdom of Iberia from the third century BC. Visit Jvari Monastery, a true architectural masterpiece of the early Medieval Period overlooking the confluence of Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers from the top of the hill, and Svetitskhoveli, the main cathedral of Mtskheta and a sacred place where the robe of Christ is being kept. Continue to Ananuri architectural complex, a former residence of Argveti Dukes. A complex featuring churches and towers dating back to the 16-17th centuries is beautifully overlooking Jinvali reservoir. Continue driving on Georgian Military Highway passing through the highest point of it at 2394 m above sea level. Arrive at Kazbegi, a small town with views of Mount Kazbek (or Mkinvari) 5033 m, the seventh highest peak in the Caucasus Mountains. Drive to Gergeti Holy Trinity Church located at an altitude of 2170 m to enjoy breathtaking views to the Mount Kazbegi. Overnight at the hotel.
Duration of sightseeing tour: 7-8 hours
Day 7: Kazbegi – Gori – Uplistsikhe – Tbilisi
 
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Gori and visit Stalin Museum. The museum includes more than 60,000 artifacts, the tiny house where Stalin was born, and impressive bulletproof train Stalin used to travel to Yalta and Potsdam. Explore cave town Uplistsikhe dating back to Hellenistic Period and notable for unique combination of various styles of rock-cut cultures and the co-existence of pagan and Christian architecture. Drive back to Tbilisi for overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Tbilisi – Departure
 
Check-out from hotel at noon. Free time until transfer to Tbilisi International Airport. Departure. End of Uzbekistan-Georgia Tour.
